A beautiful loop and rite-of-passage! This 2-Day fully-supported ride will start and finish in the Capital city of Victoria. The 270 km route will take us on a counter-clockwise tour through Duncan, Lake Cowichan, Port Renfrew and Sooke. With a population of less than 200, Port Renfrew is one of Vancouver Island’s hidden gems. This trip offers a rare opportunity to stop and spend some time there.
DATES: May 3-4, 2024
Victoria to Port Renfrew – approximately 160 km.
We will depart early in the morning with a good, solid ride up the Malahat or a bucolic ferry crossing to Mill Bay and then on to Lake Cowichan for lunch. Then a remote section of approximately 60 km through tall treed forests to Port Renfrew.
Big group dinner out.
Port Renfrew to Victoria – approximately 110 km.
A beautiful and challenging ride along the Salish Sea back to Victoria. We will plan to stop at Shirley Delicious – A little cafe nestled in the woods, serving up fresh baked goodies and lunches. If the conditions are good, we’ll hop on the Galloping Goose trail once we reach Sooke. Then onto the finish in Victoria!
