The Tour of Flanders weekend is a fantastic celebration of our sport by one of the most passionate cycling loving regions on earth.
Join us for a four day, four night trip in Oudenaarde, the town most central to the cobbled climbs of the Ronde van Vlaanderen (the Tour of Flanders). For hard-core cycling enthusiasts, a trip to the Flanders region of Belgium is essentially a pilgrimage to the most hallowed grounds in the sport — the roads where natives Eddy Merckx, Johan Museeuw and Tom Boonen became legends.
We will participate in the Sportive on Saturday and watch the pro race on the Kwaremont on Sunday.
Of course, we’ll treat ourselves to a bounty of chocolate and Belgian brews too!
DATES: April 1 – 4 2021
Thursday, April 1
Arrive in Oudenaarde by lunch time and join us for a 50 km spin with our expert local guide. We will hit the Kwaremont and Koppenberg.
Friday, April 2
Another ride in Oudenaarde. We’ll ride some cobbles so that we’re prepared for the big day.
Saturday, April 3
Sportive day! It will be an early start. We will target the 172 km distance option.
Expect some brutal cobbled sections and some steep cobbled climbs. The most famous of these are the Koppenberg, Muur and Paterberg with gradients pushing 20%. The sportive is so popular and the roads so narrow that it is a challenge to get past the numerous fellow riders who are walking up the steep sections.
Sunday, April 4
Ronde day! A full race day fan experience with viewing spots in Kwaremont and the finish in Oudenaarde.
We will enjoy lots of local beer and a final farewell dinner.
Monday, April 6
