Imagine four great days riding through the Santa Monica Mountains that includes the Haute Route Malibu GRANFONDO on Saturday and a timed hill climb on Sunday. In addition to the feature event, you will enjoy an action-packed trip with group rides and succulent meals!
Join us for an early season race-cation. Sunshine abounds in Southern California in the spring and its close proximity to LAX makes this an extremely easy destination.
DATES: March, 2020 (Either 1st or 3rd weekend)
Thursday, Day 1
After meeting at LAX, we will transfer to the Agoura Hills, gateway to the Santa Monica Mountains.
We will assemble our bikes and enjoy a light afternoon group ride through the picturesque Santa Monica Mountains.
We’ll cap off our day with a cocktail reception and dinner.
First of three nights at the Sheraton Agoura Hills.
Friday, Day 2
Malibu Canyon is THE place within the circuit of cyclists in LA and arguably the best cycling in California because of its diverse climbs and peak to peak rides. After a scrumptious breakfast at Pedalers Fork in Calabasas, our morning ride will take us past lush vineyards, world famous ranches, exclusive golf courses, incredible architecture, beautiful lakes, gorgeous coastline and epic views.
After our ride, we will have some free time to relax and enjoy the local area. You may want to join in on an optional trip down to the ocean.
A pre-race pasta feast is on the menu for this evening.
Saturday, Day 3
We will participate in the Malibu Gran Fondo. This timed race with four distance options will take place on some of the very same roads that the pros race in the Tour of California.
Sunday, Day 4
Day two of the Malibu Gran Fondo – a timed hill climb!
After the race, we will change and pack for the shuttle back to LAX. Expect to be at the airport by 5:00 pm.
