Terms & Conditions

Bicycle Sportive Tours International (BSTI) is dedicated to providing memorable cycling experiences to our clients and do everything within our power to achieve this. All tour packages sold are subject to the following conditions:

Pricing: All pre-packaged trips are priced per person based on double occupancy and a minimum group of six (6) guests in Canadian Dollars. If for any reason the group size falls below six (6) guests and within 30 days of departure BSTI reserves the right to re-adjust the trip pricing. The traveler has the right to refuse the re-adjusted pricing with no penalty and request a full refund or apply funds paid to future travel with BSTI. Custom group packages may be priced differently. Rates include all amenities as indicated in the reservation. Package price can include accommodation, transportation, entry fees, meals and tour features as specified in the reservation.

BSTI reserves the right to increase excursion prices to cover increased costs, tariffs, taxes and V.A.T. received after prices are published and to reflect fluctuations in foreign exchange markets.

Not Included in Excursions: Travel Protection, airfares, unless otherwise noted; costs associated with obtaining passports or entry visas; airport departure taxes, unless otherwise noted; excess baggage charges; meals other than specified in the itinerary; beverages other than noted in your pre-tour documentation; sightseeing not included in the itinerary; and personal expenses such as laundry, communication charges and optional activities (which are subject to availability).

Itineraries: Accommodations and arranged activities are subject to change at any time due to unforeseen circumstances or circumstances beyond BSTI control. Every effort will be made to execute itineraries as planned, but alterations may occur after the final itinerary has been issued. BSTI also reserves the right to withdraw a trip or any part of it, to make alterations to the itinerary or the trip inclusions as deemed necessary or desirable, and to pass on to travelers any costs caused by delays or events beyond its control.

Insurance: BSTI strongly recommends that you purchase insurance. Some types of travel insurance that we recommend are:

  1. Medical insurance to cover any potential hospital and ambulance expenses.
  2. Personal insurance to cover loss of baggage and personal belongings.
  3. Trip cancellation insurance to cover any cancellations made by BSTI.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the above insurance covers you while you are participating in a BSTI experience.

Passports and Visas: Valid passports are required for all international destinations and in some cases there may be visa requirements. Passports must be valid for six (6) months after the return of your journey and should also have sufficient blank pages for visas and immigrations stamps. BSTI cannot be held responsible should you be denied entry to a country due to non-compliance with these requirements.

Booking and Cancellation Policy: A non refundable $500 CAD deposit is required at time of booking to confirm your reservation. The outstanding balance is due 21 days prior to the start of your trip or event.

Photography During Travel: BSTI reserves the right to take photographs and video during the operation of any excursion or part thereof and to use them for promotional purposes. By booking a program with BSTI, guests agree to allow their imagery to be used for these purposes. Guests who prefer that their imagery not be used are asked to identify themselves to their guide at the beginning of their trip.

Limits on Responsibility: BSTI, its employees, shareholders, officers, directors, successors, agents and assigns (collectively BSTI), does not own or operate any entity which is to or does provide goods or services for your trip. BSTI purchases hotel and other lodging accommodations, restaurant, ground handling and other services from various independent suppliers (including from time to time other affiliated BSTI companies). All such persons and entities are independent contractors. As a result, BSTI is not liable for any negligent or willful act of any such person or entity or of any third person.

In addition and without limitation, BSTI is not responsible for any injury, financial or physical loss, death, inconvenience, delay or damage to persons or personal property in connection with the provision of any goods or services whether resulting from but not limited to acts of God or force majeure, illness, disease, acts of war, civil unrest, insurrection or revolt, animals, strikes or other labor activities, criminal or terrorist activities of any kind, overbooking or downgrading of services, food poisoning, mechanical or other failure of aircraft or other means of transportation or for failure of any transportation mechanism to arrive or depart on time.

Travel Advisories and Warnings: It is the responsibility of the traveler to become informed about the most current travel advisories and warnings. In the event of an active State Department Travel Warning against travel to the specific destination location(s) of the trip, should the traveler still choose to travel, notwithstanding any travel advisory or warning, the traveler assumes all risk of personal injury, death or property damage that may arise out of the events such as those advised or warned against.

Acceptance of Risk: You acknowledge that any BSTI activity may involve personal risk. You must sign and return to BSTI a liability waiver at the time of your arrival date. Not doing so may result in you not being able to participate in any activity requiring a liability waiver. BSTI activity suppliers have their own waivers, which must also be signed prior to engaging in those activities.

Right of Refusal: BSTI reserves the right to refuse a booking for any reason whatsoever. Please note that some activities in a BSTI experience require a minimum level of personal fitness and physical participation by you. Any pre-existing ailment or illness may disqualify you from an activity. BSTI representatives reserve the right to disqualify any person from an activity if he/she deems that person unfit to continue. To avoid disappointment, please notify BSTI ahead of time of any health conditions, illness and/or physical or mental disability that may interfere with your ability to participate in an activity. Many activities may be substituted to suit your individual needs.
